It took awhile, but we are now fully "employee owned." Our six owners have been at this thing for some time, and they now are better serving the community. We are so thankful for all of the people in our history that have help us get to this point. We owe it to Baltimore to deliver on the promise of our brand.
Our governance structure is made of three entities: The Board of Directors, the Owners (4 of them are also on the board) and a Management Team. All full time employees who have been with the company for at least 15 months are eligible to become owners. We also have committees staffed by all levels of employment. The current committees are : flavor committee, quality control committee, education committee, social justice committee, cultural committee and the team building committee. We hope to see other companies become employee own and create their own governance structure!
