Siblings: Just FYI-- thanks to you your big Bros. have been selected as Baltimore's best ice cream for Baltimore City Paper's annual "Best of Baltimore" 2013 issue! Click here to read more
Note: This is the first time the Bros. have been awarded Best of by both Baltimore mag and City Paper in the same year! It's all the support and love from the loved ones out there that's making this thing jump off like it is in '13!
Thanks for the love, everyone! It's appreciated greatly!
The World trade Center institute crashed the factory last night bringing a 25 person strong international delegation representing just as many countries-Brazil, Spain, Nepal, france, Australia, Tunisia, Russia, Libya, and many more! They heard about what your big Bros. were up to in Bmore and wanted to swing through and catch a taste for themselves.
Below, WTCI's Janine Branch, looks on as TB's big brother Brown raps it up w/Ciaran Mac an Bhaird (repping Ireland) about ice cream flavors Ciaran would love for us to make! He suggested Malcolm X and Spike Lee's film Do The Right Thing! We took a step further by showing him the flavor ideas we hope to make that tell the stories of some of Ireland's civil rights legends such as John Hume and Bernadette Devlin McAliskey.
And today will start Denise McNair, Carole Robertson, Addie Mae Collins, and Cynthia Wesley week here at TB, loved ones! We'll be showing love to the four young ladies killed in the bombing of the 16th street Baptist Church, in Birmingham, Ala., on Sept. 15, 1963. On Tuesday Congress will bestow its highest civilian honor — The Congressional Gold Medal — posthumously — to the young victims.
And, yes, these lovely four young girls are on our ever expanding "flavors to make list"! Gotta do it, family! We'll need to come up with a specific and very special flavor for each young lady informed and inspired by their too short lives.
More on the award to the girls is below.
